Hello and welcome to my first post, my name is Paul and that is my lovely wife, Amanda, as you can see we both love cycling. I am wearing my Bowel Cancer UK, cycling jersey that I earned when I cycled the Prudential 100 charity challenge.
I absolutely love the outdoors and have been cycling for over a decade, doing lots of events, sportives and challenges to raise money for cancer charities. I also like running and camping, so I recently started combining the cycling and camping, think they call it “backpacking”, but I just enjoy getting outdoors and its great for my mental health.
I am going to start sharing my journey in life with anyone who wants to jump in and read it, hoping that like minded people enjoy it and also anyone on a similar journey can exchange their thoughts, feedback and contribute. I also want to make people aware of Cancer and how easy it is to avoid it getting nasty, meaning getting checked early and avoiding all the treatments etc.
Thats it for now, hope that was ok and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, were I will share my plans in September to do a whole month backpacking and running a halt marathon for Bowel Cancer UK, along with updates on my treatment and cancer journey
